Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference took place on Tuesday June 2nd
As always, there were plenty of rumors of new iPhones, iWatches, iTVs and more floating around and none of those came to fruition at Tuesday's conference. However, Apple did announce iOS 8 which includes many upgrades for iPhones, iPods, and iPads. The most notable upgrades are new widgets in the notification center and a new app called HealthKit which will help Apple break into the fitness and health tracking markets (hint: iWatch coming soon).
Also announced at WWDC 2014 was OS X Yosemite which is an update to their desktop operating system for Mac. Major improvements here included more synchronization with iOS including the ability to make and receive calls/texts from your Mac, new cloud storage referred to as iCloud Drive, and a completely revamped look with more similarities to iOS 7.
Unfortunately, no iPhone 6 or iWatch announcements were made, so it looks like we will have to wait until later this year (re: September) for some shiny new toys.
